Sector Heatmap
Our —-name board grouped by GICS sector. Cell size = number of board
names (our universe's weight, not market cap — we do not store caps). Color = the
selected metric, red↔green about zero; every cell prints its value, so color is never
the only channel.

Valuation Tools
The slider DCF from the teardown (§5) — six lines of arithmetic, derived
and reconciled to the dollar. ⚠ v1: the fundamental inputs are YOURS to set; nothing is
prefilled yet (punch list: prefill from fundamentals_ttm). The price anchor is live.
Fair value / share
—
revenue[n]=base·(1+g)ⁿ · fcf=rev·margin · pv=fcf/(1+wacc)ⁿ ·
TV=fcf₅·multiple, discounted · fair=(ΣPV+PV(TV)−netDebt)/shares — the exact formulas
reverse-engineered from the reference app and verified to the dollar.
Alerts
READ surface. Every trigger level below traces to a journal decision —
that provenance is enforced by eval (trigger-provenance, fabrication-canary). Creating
alerts happens through the journal, never a free-form box; the on-dashboard create form
is phase 2, behind the write API.

Journal-aware alerts
Triggers
Distance = level vs the board's live price — never show a threshold
without showing distance to it (teardown §6j).
Watchlists
Every name in ONE table (Brian, 2026-08-26). It was three tables — one per
list — plus a top-15 slice of Passive Monitoring, so you could not sort or compare across
them and 800+ names were hidden behind "the rest live on the Screener". The list is now a
COLUMN: still visible, still sortable, no longer a wall. Judgements — class, zone, stop,
target — come from CONFIG; price, spread vs the 10-month MA and trend state come from the
pipeline. Click a column to sort.
Stock Analysis
Hand-analysed names — verdict, thesis, fair value, what would change our
mind. Decision history per ticker is on the punch list (spec §5A).

Breakout Candidates
Source: research/_universe fact sheets (FMP, every US common stock above $250k/day; the universe has no
market-cap floor, the GATE does - its rules are printed in the line under the title). Implied growth = the 10-year revenue growth today's price assumes (reverse DCF, Expectations Investing, at
WACC). Gap = consensus (or trailing) growth minus implied: positive means the business is expected to beat what the
price asks for. ≥ / ≤ marks a bound the solver proved, not an exact figure. Utilities, REITs and financials get no
reverse DCF (routed methods). The composite's weights, the backtest they came from and who ruled them are stated in the
amber line under the title, straight from the feed (2026-09-30: the old fixed "not backtested" sentence here outlived
the 2026-09-29 backtest by a day - a claim about the method belongs to the feed, never to static page text).

One count, no weights: GREEN none failing, YELLOW 1-2, RED 3 or more (thresholds in strategies.json). Backtested
1934-2026 (docs/bear-gauge-backtest-2026-09-29.md): warned 15-18 months ahead of the 1980, 1990, 2000 and 2007 bears, never of
the non-recession bears - a recession gauge. "not read" never counts. Lived in the Economic Forecaster 2026-09-30 to 2026-10-13.
